2013 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2013 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 2,500 times in 2013. If it were a cable car, it would take about 42 trips to carry that many people.

About georgelamplugh

I retired in 2010 after nearly four decades of teaching History at the "prep school" level with a PhD. My new "job" was to finish the book manuscript I'd been working on, in summers only, since 1996. As things turned out, not only did I complete that book, but I also put together a collection of my essays--published and unpublished--on Georgia history. Both volumes were published in the summer of 2015. I continue to work on other writing projects, including a collection of essays on the Blues and, of course, my blog.

Fascinating account of traffic on your blog.

    • Yeah, one of my favorite things about those wonderful folks at wordpress.com is the care they take to encourage all of their bloggers. The “year in review” report is always enjoyable, especially the map showing the countries where people live who have viewed the blog over the year. I mean, I had one viewer in Mongolia, for goodness sake–wonder if I could figure out which post he/she looked at!
